Golden Eagles Fall to Cincinnati Clermont, 3–1

New Philadelphia, OH — October 25, 2025

The Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles battled hard but came up short against Cincinnati Clermont on Saturday afternoon, falling in four sets (25-18, 18-25, 22-25, 21-25). The Golden Eagles came out strong, taking the opening set with sharp hitting and solid defensive play, but Clermont responded with consistent offense to claim the following three sets and the match.

Offensively, Kent State Tuscarawas was led by Allie Snyder, who tallied 15 kills and hit .243 on the match. Allie Keller added 25 assists, three service aces, and seven digs, while Rylee Sensabaugh contributed six kills and 14 assists, providing a balanced attack that kept the Golden Eagles in contention through each set.

On the defensive side, Elizabeth Keller led the team with 25 digs, and Lillian Ediger added six kills along with steady play at the net. Despite the loss, the Golden Eagles displayed determination and teamwork, highlighted by their dominant first-set win and several tightly contested rallies.

Kent State Tuscarawas will look to regroup and carry their strong individual performances into their next matchup at nationals.
