The Golden Eagles of Kent State University at Tuscarawas delivered a dominant performance at home, defeating Ohio Valley Community Christian College 105–72 in front of their home crowd.
KSU Tusc set the tone early, using defensive pressure and efficient shooting to take control in the first half. The Golden Eagles carried that momentum into the second half, continuing to stretch the lead behind strong rebounding and balanced scoring to secure the 33-point victory on their home floor.
The offense was firing on all cylinders. KSU Tusc shot an impressive 47.8% from the field (32-67) and 44.1% from three-point range (15-34). They were nearly automatic at the free-throw line, converting 26 of 29 attempts (89.7%). Their ability to knock down perimeter shots and finish possessions with rebounds proved to be the difference. Meanwhile, Ohio Valley shot 32.1% from the field (26-81) and just 26.7% from beyond the arc (8-30).
Leading the way was Garrett Sprutte with a dominant double-double, pouring in 26 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. Sprutte shot 9-15 from the field and 6-6 from the free-throw line while adding five assists and three steals in an all-around performance. Jaxon Robb also recorded a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds, along with two blocks and two steals.
Dasjuan Williams contributed 15 points, five rebounds, and five assists while hitting three shots from deep. Blaine Raber added 14 points and seven rebounds, while Brody Moreland provided a strong lift off the bench with 12 points and six rebounds. Tanner Norman chipped in seven points, and Juwan Coates was efficient in limited minutes, scoring six points on 2-3 shooting from three-point range.
The Golden Eagles dominated the glass, outrebounding Ohio Valley 55–29, including 42 defensive rebounds that limited second-chance opportunities. KSU Tusc also recorded 22 assists as a team, showcasing their unselfish play and strong ball movement throughout the contest.
