Golden Eagles Roll to 114–86 Win on Senior Night

Kent State University at Tuscarawas delivered an impressive offensive performance to defeat Wright State - Lake Campus, 114–86, on February 13 at Founders Hall.


The Golden Eagles came out strong and carried that momentum through the first half, building a 54–42 lead at the break. Kent State Tuscarawas found success from the perimeter early and controlled the tempo with efficient shooting and strong rebounding on both ends of the floor.


Ethan Bower led the offensive surge with 21 points, knocking down seven shots from three-point range to pace the Golden Eagles. Garrett Sprutte matched that total with 21 points of his own while adding seven rebounds and three assists in a strong all-around effort. Dasjuan Williams provided a big spark off the bench, scoring 21 points and connecting on three three-pointers. Jaxon Robb contributed 13 points and nine rebounds, while Sambujang Mbaye added 11 points and six rebounds in an efficient outing.


As a team, the Golden Eagles shot 52.6% from the field and 42.1% from three-point range while finishing with 50 total rebounds and 22 assists. Their balanced scoring and unselfish ball movement allowed them to steadily pull away in the second half, outscoring Wright State–Lake 60–44 to secure the win.


Wright State–Lake was led by Rashaud Finley with 18 points and Allen Underwood with 16, but Kent State Tuscarawas maintained control throughout the final stretch to close out the 28-point victory.


The night was made even more special as the team celebrated senior Juwan Coates following the game, recognizing his dedication, leadership, and contributions to the program during his time as a Golden Eagle.
