Golden Eagles MBB Struggles At Home

Kent State–Tuscarawas battled to the final buzzer but came up short in an 85–78 loss to Andrews University on February 1, 2026.

The Golden Eagles held a slim 38–37 halftime lead before Andrews pulled ahead in the second half. Kent State–Tuscarawas struggled to find consistent rhythm from the field, shooting 37.9 percent overall, but stayed competitive behind solid free-throw shooting, converting 16-of-18 from the line.

Dasjuan Williams led the Golden Eagles off the bench with 18 points, knocking down 4 three-pointers in 20 minutes of action. Ethan Bower finished with 15 points, while Jaxon Robb added a strong all-around effort with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Kent State–Tuscarawas won the battle on the glass 39–26, but 17 turnovers proved costly as Andrews capitalized late to secure the win.

The Golden Eagles also recorded 18 assists, grabbed 13 offensive rebounds, and shot 34.3 percent from three-point range, but were unable to overcome Andrews' second-half surge.

Kent State–Tuscarawas will be back in action on February 7 at 3:00 p.m. against Cincinnati–Clermont.
