Golden Eagles Hold Off Clark State

Kent State–Tuscarawas earned a hard-fought 101–93 victory over Clark State Community College on January 12, 2026, behind a balanced offensive effort and strong contributions from both the starters and the bench.

Ethan Bower led the Golden Eagles with a game-high 23 points, knocking down five three-pointers while playing all 40 minutes. Garrett Sprutte was efficient, finishing with 18 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, while Blaine Raber added a gritty all-around performance with 16 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and five steals. Jaxon Robb controlled the glass with 11 rebounds, and Brody Moreland chipped in 10 points on an efficient shooting night.

Kent State–Tuscarawas also got valuable scoring from its reserves, highlighted by Dasjuan Williams, who scored 11 points on 3-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc in just 13 minutes. As a team, the Eagles shot 47.9% from the field and converted 24 of 32 free throws, a key factor in holding off Clark State down the stretch.

Kent State–Tuscarawas will look to carry that momentum into its next matchup on January 17, when the Golden Eagles host Miami–Hamilton in a USCAA contest scheduled at 3:00 p.m.
