KSU Tuscarawas Falls Just Short to Ohio Christian

Kent State–Tuscarawas turned in one of its most complete offensive performances of the season despite an 83–73 road loss to Ohio Christian on January 7, 2026. The Golden Eagles shot 46.8% (29-of-62) from the field and 33.3% from three-point range, staying competitive against one of the top teams in the region.

Four Golden Eagles scored in double figures, led by Blaine Raber's 15 points on an efficient 6-of-9 shooting, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. Garrett Sprutte provided a major spark off the bench with 15 points, five rebounds, and two assists while logging 32 minutes. Ethan Bower added 14 points, knocking down 4-of-8 three-pointers, and Jaxon Robb finished with 14 points, seven rebounds, two steals, and a block, showcasing his all-around impact.

Kent State–Tuscarawas moved the ball effectively, recording 13 assists while committing just 8 turnovers. The Golden Eagles also battled on the boards with 29 total rebounds, including 10 offensive rebounds, creating multiple second-chance scoring opportunities against a physical Ohio Christian lineup.
