Kent State–Tuscarawas closed out its December 19 matchup with a strong 94–80 win over Southeastern Illinois College, pulling away late after a competitive first half. The Golden Eagles led 51–39 at the break and maintained control with efficient shooting and balanced scoring in the second half.
Ethan Bower delivered a standout performance, scoring a game-high 27 points while knocking down seven three-pointers on 10 attempts. Garrett Sprutte added 16 points and six rebounds, while Jaxon Robb filled the stat sheet with 13 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Off the bench, Jaedyn McLeod chipped in 12 points and Tanner Norman provided an efficient eight points in limited minutes.
Kent State–Tuscarawas shot an impressive 50 percent from the field and from beyond the arc, finishing 14-of-28 from three-point range. The Golden Eagles also moved the ball well, recording 22 assists, and used their offensive balance to keep Southeastern Illinois College at bay down the stretch.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action on December 20, competing in Day 2 of the Middletown Christmas Classic, where they are set to face Miami Middletown at 3 p.m.
