Game 1:
The Kent State Tuscarawas Eagles battled hard on Sunday, out-hitting Wright State Lake Baseball 6-5, but ultimately fell 6-1. The Eagles showed resilience throughout the game, highlighted by a solo home run to left field from Patchett in the bottom of the sixth to put Kent State Tuscarawas on the board. Walter paced the offensive effort with two hits, while Patchett drove in the team's lone run with a 1-for-3 performance. Campbell added pressure on the bases with two stolen bases, helping the Eagles tally three steals overall.
On the mound, Billman provided a strong relief appearance for Kent State Tuscarawas, tossing 4.2 innings while allowing just one hit and one run, striking out three and walking two to keep the Eagles competitive. Despite an early deficit, the team continued to fight and displayed aggressive baserunning and steady offensive production. The Eagles' ability to outhit their opponent and their determination throughout the contest showed plenty of positives to build on moving forward.
Game 2:
Kent State Tuscarawas put together a strong overall effort on Sunday but came up short in a 5–3 loss to Wright State Lake, despite outhitting them 8–5. The Eagles showed consistency at the plate, with Walter leading the way with two hits, while Maine, Patchett, and Larson each contributed an RBI. Patchett also provided a key highlight early, blasting a solo home run to left field in the second inning to get Kent State Tuscarawas on the board.
On the mound, Baker delivered an impressive relief appearance, limiting Wright State Lake to just one hit and one run over four innings while striking out four. Defensively, Kent State Tuscarawas was flawless, not committing a single error, with Ruhter leading the way with eight fielding chances.
Although Wright State Lake capitalized on a few key swings, including a two-run homer in the third, Kent State Tuscarawas remained competitive throughout, showcasing strong hitting depth, reliable defense, and solid pitching out of the bullpen.
