After rain halted play midway through her opening round, Leah Wright returned to the course and completed 31 straight holes to finish the tournament. Facing 20 mph winds, chilly temperatures, and a soaked course, she persevered to close out her sophomore season.
Her strong finish capped a memorable year, highlighted by a 5th-place result at the USCAA National Championships in DuBois, Pennsylvania — the highest individual placement in Kent State Tuscarawas history. Wright will return next season as the Golden Eagles prepare to field their first official women's golf team in 2026.
