Kraus Commits to Kent State University at Tuscarawas Women’s Basketball

Sophia Kraus, who has officially committed to continue her academic and athletic career at Kent State Tuscarawas.

Kraus, daughter of Michelle Kraus, has dedicated the last 13 years of her life to the game of basketball. Her commitment, work ethic, and perseverance have shaped her into the player she is today and earned her the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level for the next four years.

Throughout her high school career, Kraus has built an impressive résumé. She is a three-year varsity letter winner, earned Most Improved honors, and was selected to compete on a highly competitive Select 40 team. Adding to her accomplishments, she has also been invited to travel to Hawaii this June to compete, further showcasing her growth and recognition as a player.

Kraus plans to major in Biology at Kent State Tuscarawas, balancing her academic goals with her continued development on the court. She expressed deep gratitude to her friends, teammates, and past coaches for their constant support, encouragement, and belief in her journey — as well as appreciation for Coach Anderson and the opportunity to join the Golden Eagles program.

Excited for what lies ahead, Kraus is ready to embrace this new beginning, continue learning under Coach Anderson, and proudly represent the Golden Eagles next season.
