Kent State Tuscarawas battled throughout the contest but ultimately fell to Edison State Community College, 66–55.
The Golden Eagles fought through a physical matchup and kept the game within reach thanks to strong defensive effort and steady work at the free-throw line. While shots from the perimeter were difficult to come by, Tuscarawas stayed competitive by attacking the basket and creating opportunities at the line.
Tamarra Thomas led the way with 26 points, consistently getting downhill and converting 9-of-10 free throws in an aggressive offensive performance. Abbey Parker added 18 points and nine rebounds, providing a strong presence inside and helping anchor the team on the glass. Kadence Stutz contributed seven points, five rebounds, and four steals, while Anaiyah General added four steals and six rebounds in a solid defensive effort.
Kent State Tuscarawas shot 80% from the free-throw line (24-of-30) and pulled down 35 rebounds, but struggled from the field at 28.3% and 5.9% from three-point range. Despite forcing 17 steals and creating defensive pressure, turnovers proved costly in key stretches of the game.
Edison State was led by Presley Reese with 24 points and 10 rebounds, while Emma Will and Rylie Homan each added 11 points. Edison controlled the glass 40–35 and capitalized on second-chance opportunities to maintain separation.
