Golden Eagles Women's Basketball moves to 2-0

The Kent State University at Tuscarawas women's basketball team dominated from start to finish in a 67–30 victory over Glen Oaks Community College on Saturday afternoon. The Golden Eagles controlled the game early, leading 17–5 after the first quarter and never looking back, holding Glen Oaks to just 20 points through three quarters.

Danajia Woodard led Kent State Tuscarawas with an efficient 19 points and 9 rebounds, shooting 7-of-9 from the field. Abbey Parker posted a strong double-double with 12 rebounds and 7 points, while Maria Paris Grant added 8 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 steals in a standout all-around performance. Zoey Steele contributed 9 points and 4 assists, and Tamarra Thomas chipped in 5 points and 5 assists to pace the balanced offense.

As a team, the Golden Eagles shot an impressive 65.7% (23-of-35) from the field, 38.9% (7-of-18) from three-point range, and 82.4% (14-of-17) from the free-throw line. Kent State Tuscarawas also controlled the glass with 68 total rebounds, including 25 offensive boards, while recording 31 steals and 23 assists.

With the win, Kent State Tuscarawas improves to 2–0 on the season and are set to play Great Lakes Christian on Nov 12 at 5:00 PM.
