KSU Tuscarawas Softball Falls To Alice Lloyd

Game 1:

Kent State University–Tuscarawas showed flashes of offense but ultimately fell 9–1 to Alice Lloyd College on Saturday.

Tuscarawas was led by a strong performance from Cress, who went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate and drove in the team's only run. In the top of the fifth inning, Cress provided a bright spot with a solo home run to center field, putting Tuscarawas on the board.

Defensively and on the mound, Tuscarawas worked through early pressure from Alice Lloyd. Starting pitcher Kliffel logged four innings, striking out hitters and battling through traffic on the bases despite the final line.

Alice Lloyd built its lead early, scoring two runs in the first inning and adding to it in each of the next several frames. A two-run home run in the fourth inning and another two-run shot in the fifth helped extend the gap.

Game 2:

Kent State University–Tuscarawas ran into a strong Alice Lloyd College squad on Saturday, falling 11–0 despite a few bright moments.

Lemmel led Tuscarawas at the plate, going 1-for-1 and accounting for the team's lone hit of the game. The lineup worked to find opportunities against a sharp Alice Lloyd pitching performance, which limited offensive chances throughout.

On the mound, Reyes took the start for Tuscarawas, battling through three innings while allowing four hits. Despite the final score, the defense showed resilience early, with several plays keeping innings from extending further than they could have.

Alice Lloyd capitalized on early opportunities, scoring four runs in the first inning and continuing to build momentum in the second and third.

Kent State Tuscarawas travels to Penn State Fayette on 4/14/26 at 2:00 and 4:00.
