Game 1:
Kent State University–Tuscarawas battled hard but came up short in a 10–2 loss to Alice Lloyd College on Friday.
Despite an early deficit, KSUT continued to compete throughout the game. Van Horn and Reyes each recorded hits for the Eagles, while Kliffel contributed an RBI to help get Tuscarawas on the board. Reyes also made an impact on the basepaths, stealing two bases as part of a three-steal effort for the team.
KSUT showed flashes of defensive execution as well, turning a double play during the contest.
Lemmel got the start on the mound for Tuscarawas, working four innings and striking out two. Out of the bullpen, the Eagles continued to battle against a tough Alice Lloyd lineup.
Game 2:
Kent State University–Tuscarawas showed early promise but ultimately fell 10–2 to Alice Lloyd College on Friday.
The Eagles struck first in the opening inning, taking advantage of an error to grab an early 1–0 lead. After Alice Lloyd responded, KSUT battled back to even the score in the third, with Lillis executing a sacrifice bunt that brought home the tying run.
Reyes sparked the offense from the top of the lineup, delivering a perfect 3-for-3 performance at the plate and consistently creating opportunities. Lillis also made a key impact, driving in both of the Eagles' runs.
On the mound, Shepherd got the start for Tuscarawas, while the pitching staff continued to compete against a tough lineup.
Alice Lloyd used a big third inning to pull away, which was too much for the Golden Eagles to overcome.
The Golden Eagles are set to play at 12 and 2 vs Alice Lloyd on 4/11/26.
