Lemmel delivered a dominant performance on the mound, striking out 10 batters to lead Kent State University–Tuscarawas to a 4–2 victory over Penn State Fayette on Sunday. Over six innings, Lemmel allowed just four hits and two runs while issuing no walks.
Kent State Tuscarawas broke through in the bottom of the fourth inning. Lovelace sparked the rally with a triple that drove in a run, followed by a sacrifice fly from Cress to bring home another. Reyes then capped the inning with a two-run home run to center field, giving Tuscarawas a commanding lead.
Shepherd provided solid relief, tossing a scoreless inning while allowing one hit and recording one strikeout without a walk.
Reyes led the offense with two RBIs from the eighth spot in the lineup, finishing 1-for-2 on the day. Lillis, Lovelace, Edwards, Reyes, and Lemmel each contributed a hit in the team effort.
Defensively, Kent State Tuscarawas was flawless, committing no errors. Lovelace led the way in the field with 13 putouts.

Tuscarawas took an early 2–1 lead in the bottom of the first inning, sparked by an RBI double from Lillis down the left field line and an RBI single by Cress.
Reyes helped extend the advantage in the third, ripping a triple to make it 3–1.
The game broke open in the bottom of the fourth when Tuscarawas erupted for five runs on just two hits to take an 8–3 lead. The key hit of the inning came from Lemmel, who delivered a two-run triple to cap the rally.
Reyes earned the win in the circle, allowing five hits and one run (zero earned) over three innings while striking out four and walking one. Kliffel and Shepherd each contributed in relief.
Offensively, Lemmel—batting seventh—led the way with two hits in four at-bats, showcasing the depth of the lineup. Both Lillis and Lemmel drove in two runs apiece. Tuscarawas also demonstrated patience at the plate, drawing five walks in the game, with Kliffel accounting for two of them.
