Kent State University–Tuscarawas Falls to Penn State DuBois, 11–6

Kent State University–Tuscarawas dropped an 11–6 decision to Penn State DuBois on March 21, as early power from the visitors proved too much to overcome.

Penn State DuBois wasted no time getting on the board, launching two home runs in the first inning, including an inside-the-park shot to take an early lead. They continued to build momentum with two more runs in the second and another in the third to extend the advantage to 5–1.

The game broke open in the fifth inning when Penn State DuBois delivered another inside-the-park home run, this time a three-run blast, followed by a solo homer in the sixth to stretch the lead even further.

Cress took the loss for Tuscarawas, allowing nine runs (seven earned) over 4.1 innings. Despite the deficit, Tuscarawas stayed competitive at the plate, tallying 11 hits. Kliffel led the offense with a perfect 3-for-3 performance from the leadoff spot, while Cress and Lemmel each drove in two runs. Edwards also contributed with two hits, and Reyes added pressure on the bases with two stolen bases.

Penn State DuBois matched Tuscarawas with 12 hits, highlighted by a big day from #44, who homered twice and scored three runs, and #22, who drove in three runs. Although Tuscarawas showed offensive consistency, the early home runs and big innings from Penn State DuBois ultimately sealed the outcome.
