Kent State University–Tuscarawas couldn't keep pace with Thiel College, falling 12–4 on March 20. Thiel set the tone early, scoring in the first inning before breaking the game open with a five-run second inning fueled by timely hitting and productive outs.
Tuscarawas struggled to contain Thiel's offense, which racked up 15 hits on the day. Herman and Risser led the charge with three RBIs each, while multiple players contributed multi-hit performances to keep constant pressure on the defense.
Kliffel took the loss for Tuscarawas after allowing six runs in just 1.2 innings of work. Shepherd provided relief, going 3.2 innings and allowing three runs.
Offensively, Tuscarawas showed some fight, with Cress, Lillis, and Wehler each collecting two hits. The team was aggressive on the basepaths, stealing nine bases, with Wright and Shepherd leading the way. However, the early deficit proved too much to overcome as Thiel maintained control throughout the game.
