Game 1:
Kent State - Tuscarawas Fall After Strong Showing By Penn State - Beaver

Kent State - Tuscarawas had trouble keeping up with Penn State - Beaver in a 12-0 loss on Sunday.
Penn State - Beaver got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Kierstyn Mays tripled to the right side of the infield, Reza Benson tripled, Emilee Wagonner doubled down the right field line, Maria Metts doubled to center field, Kent State - Tuscarawas committed an error, and #6 grounded out, each scoring one run.
Penn State - Beaver scored six runs on three hits in the bottom of the third inning. #27 singled, scoring one run, #6 singled, scoring one run, one run scored on another play, Selene Arleaga doubled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.
#27 earned the win for Penn State - Beaver. The starter gave up four hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking one. Gabriela Rivera took the loss for Kent State - Tuscarawas. The starter went four innings, giving up 12 runs (eight earned) on seven hits, striking out four and walking four.
Number seven hitter, Alexis Schall, showed the depth of Kent State - Tuscarawas's lineup, by leading them with two hits in two at bats.

Fourth-Inning Burst Enough To Lead Penn State - Beaver Past Kent State - Tuscarawas

Penn State - Beaver scored six runs in the fourth inning, which helped them defeat Kent State - Tuscarawas 11-4 on Sunday at Penn State Beaver.
A single by Leah Wright on an 0-2 count put Kent State - Tuscarawas on the board in the top of the first.
Penn State - Beaver flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on six hits to take the lead, 5-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Reza Benson that drove in two.
Penn State - Beaver scored six runs on three hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Benson doubled, scoring three runs, Emilee Wagonner singled, scoring one run, Cas Crean singled, scoring one run, and Anna Moore hit into a double play, but one run scored.
Kierstyn Mays earned the win for Penn State - Beaver. The starter gave up eight hits and four runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out four and walking none. Gabriela Rivera took the loss for Kent State - Tuscarawas. The starting pitcher went four innings, surrendering 11 runs on 10 hits, striking out one and walking six.
Amanda Lillis and Wright were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Kent State - Tuscarawas while hitting back-to-back. Lillis, Rivera, and Wright each drove in one run for Kent State - Tuscarawas. Kent State - Tuscarawas turned two double plays in the game.
