Indian Valley senior Logan McPeek has signed his Letter of Intent to continue his golf career at Kent State University at Tuscarawas.
A 3-time letter winner for the Braves, McPeek steadily rose as one of the program's top competitors. He earned multiple honors throughout his career, including Most Improved Golfer, Eastern District Honorable Mention, IVC Honorable Mention, Eastern District Second Team, and Academic All-Ohio. He also contributed to setting Indian Valley's 9-hole team record of 137 and 18-hole team record of 277. Among his standout performances were a 9th-place finish at the River View Black Bear Invitational, a round of 35 (-1) against Tuscarawas Central Catholic, and a 71 (-1) that placed him 5th out of 80 at the Inter-Valley Conference Postseason Tournament.
Off the course, McPeek excelled academically with a 3.9 GPA, three Academic Letters, and consistent Honor Roll or Principal's Roll recognition. He is an active member of the National Honor Society, participates in College Credit Plus, and has been a key contributor to Braves Nation Communications. In that role, he has served as the Indian Valley boys basketball head broadcaster, led social media for the school's state championship football team, and worked as the head graphic designer for both football and boys basketball. He is also employed by Claxon Communications and is actively involved in the Uhrichsville Christian Fellowship Youth Group.
McPeek will now take the next step in his academic and athletic journey at Kent State Tuscarawas, where he plans to major in Business Management and minor in Communication.
Kent State Tuscarawas golf coach Dakota Wright expressed his excitement about bringing McPeek into the program, saying, "We are thrilled to welcome Logan to Kent State Tuscarawas. He comes from a tremendous family, and his work ethic, character, and commitment stand out in everything he does. We can't wait to see the impact he'll make both on and off the course."
