Indian Creek senior Stanley Amis has been a key member of the Redskins golf program, earning two varsity letters during his high school career. Known for his consistency and competitive drive, Amis capped off his senior season with an impressive 8th-place finish at sectionals—the best performance from his team.
Beyond his accomplishments on the course, Amis has balanced athletics with academics and community involvement. He holds a 3.8 GPA and regularly assists elderly residents with yard work, demonstrating leadership and character both on and off the course.
Amis credits coaches Ryan Smith and Jay Feist for their mentorship and guidance throughout his golf career, as well as strength coach Eddie Kostecki for helping him improve his physical game.
Undecided on his major, Stanley Amis will attend Kent State University at Tuscarawas and continue his golf career.
Kent State Tuscarawas golf coach Dakota Wright spoke highly of the incoming freshman, saying, "Stanley is an impressive young man with great potential on the golf course. His character, competitiveness, and dedication stand out, and we're really looking forward to having him be part of our program for the next four years."
