Golden Eagles Golf Struggles at Bluffton Country Club

Kent State Tuscarawas hit the road for a challenging two-day tournament at Bluffton Country Club, facing what was arguably the strongest field of the season. The Golden Eagles held their own, finishing 8th overall with consistent team scores of 336 and 337.

Austen Gunn led the team with a two-day total of 164 (81-83), followed closely by Trenton Shrock at 166 (82-84). Cole Eltringham showed improvement in round two, bouncing back from an 87 to shoot 80, finishing at 167. Drew Gallant posted rounds of 86 and 90 for a 176 total, while Doug Miller shot 87 and 101 to round out the team scoring at 188.

Competing as individuals, Kolin Watson carded rounds of 90 and 92 (182), and Andrew Smith recorded a solid second round 86 after opening with 94, finishing at 180.

The team won't have much time to rest, as they quickly turn around to compete on October 6 and 7 at Crown Hill Golf Club in Williamsport, Ohio.
