Kent State Tuscarawas traveled to Penn State DuBois on Sunday, September 14, to compete in an early-season tournament. Facing harsh conditions on a challenging course, the Golden Eagles turned in strong performances across the board.
On the women's side, Leah Wright stole the spotlight, capturing the tournament title with an impressive 88. Her steady play and clutch shots under pressure helped her secure the win and set a high standard for the team.
On the men's side, the team earned an impressive second-place finish with a total score of 330. Sophomores Austen Gunn and Trenton Shrock led the way with matching 77s, providing consistent play that kept the team competitive throughout the round. Drew Gallant followed with an 85, while Doug Miller and Cole Eltringham each carded 91s to round out the scoring for Kent State Tuscarawas.
The Golden Eagles will look to carry this momentum into their next tournament — the Golden Eagle Invite — scheduled for Friday, September 19, 2025.
