Kent State Tuscarawas traveled to Yankee Run Golf Club to compete in the Officer Joe Izzo Invitational, hosted by Penn State Shenango. With the course set up to challenge the field—featuring tough pin placements and demanding conditions—the Golden Eagles battled through to secure a narrow 1-shot victory, finishing with a team score of 325.

Freshman Trenton Shrock led the way with an impressive 78, followed by Austen Gunn and Cole Eltringham, who both carded solid rounds of 82. Doug Miller added an 83 to round out the team scoring, while Drew Gallant contributed with an 87.

Kolin Watson competed as an individual, posting a 101.

The Golden Eagles will look to carry this momentum into their next tournament at DuBois Country Club, where they are scheduled for a 10:00 AM shotgun start on Saturday, September 14.
