Golden Eagles Finish 2nd At Tri Match

Kent State Tuscarawas faced stiff competition and challenging weather conditions at Pine Hills Golf Course, known for its notoriously difficult closing hole—often considered the toughest in Ohio. Despite playing short-handed and contending with extremely windy conditions, the Golden Eagles rose to the occasion and secured a solid second-place finish in the tri-match with a team score of 322.

Leading the way was Austen Gunn, who fired a 77 and tied for 3rd overall in the individual standings. He was followed by Drew Gallant with an 82, Trenton Shrock with an 86, and Connor Rippeth with an 87, all contributing to a gritty team performance.

The Golden Eagles now turn their focus to the Officer Joe Izzo Invitational, hosted by Penn State Shenango, on September 13, 2025.
