Golden Eagles Golf Has Solid Opening to Season

The Golden Eagles will travel to Pinehill Golf Course on September 6 to play in the Baldwin Wallace and Hiram Tri-Match.

The Men's Golf team teed off their 2025-26 season at Zoar Golf Village on August 30, competing against a strong field of primarily NCAA Division II and Division III opponents. Battling early-season nerves and challenging windy conditions, the Golden Eagles struggled to find consistency in the opening round, finishing with a team total of 328.

Connor Rippeth led the way with a solid 76, followed closely by Austen Gunn with a 77. Cole Eltringham added an 86, and Tanner Norman rounded out the scoring with an 89.

However, the team showed resilience and determination on Day Two, responding with a significantly improved performance. Focused and competitive throughout the round, the Golden Eagles posted a 312 team score — a 16-shot improvement from the first day.

Austen Gunn led the charge with an impressive 75, while Connor Rippeth continued his steady play with a 77. Cole Eltringham and Drew Gallant both contributed rounds of 80 to help secure the team's bounce-back effort.

The Golden Eagles will look to build on this momentum as they travel to Pinehill Golf Course on September 6 to compete in the Baldwin Wallace and Hiram Tri-Match
