The Golden Eagles men's golf team finished ninth overall in a field of 18 teams at the USCAA National Golf Championships at Penn State University. It was the seventh time in eight seasons KSU Tusc achieved a Top 10 finish on the Blue Course.
In the women's tournament, Leah Wright captured a sixth-place individual finish with a two-day total of 174. Wright shot an 84 in the opening round and followed with a 90 on the final day playing as the first-ever women's golfer in the USCAA membership era for Kent State Tuscarawas.
On the men's side, Connor Rippeth fired an 80 in the final round, while Drew Gallant shot an 81---his lowest round of the season---as the Golden Eagles solidified a Top 10 finish. Rippeth ended with a two-day total of 164, tying teammate Austen Gunn who carded an 84 on the last day. Cole Eltringham shot 86 and ended with a total of 174 and Gallant had a 168.
The Eagles wrapped up the fall season and will play a short spring schedule beginning in April.
