The Golden Eagles Golf Team finished third in a field of five teams in a Saturday event hosted by Hiram College at Tanglewood Golf Club in Chargin Falls, OH. KSU Tusc combined for a team score of 362 on a very rainy, cold and blustery day, as Baldwin Wallace took home team honors with a score of 334 and the hosts finished second with a 346.
Kent Tusc freshman, Austen Gunn continued to shine early in the season as he finished T2nd as an individual with a round of 82. A score of 80 took individual honors on the 7029-yard layout. Gunn, went out in 37 carding four pars and a birdie in his first six holes. He finished the front nine with six pars and made par on four holes on the inward nine for a total of 10 level scores. He shot 45 coming home to finish with a round of 82.
Connor Rippeth added a score of 92 which was T15th overall, while Drew Gallant shot 93 and Cole Eltringham 95.
The Eagles travel to the Penn State DuBois Invitational on Sunday.
