Kaden Perkins has officially signed his letter of intent to continue his basketball career at Kent State Tuscarawas, marking an exciting next chapter for one of the area's most accomplished student-athletes.

Perkins leaves behind an impressive high school career, both in the classroom and on the court. He maintained a 3.9 GPA while building a standout basketball résumé that includes surpassing the 1,000-point milestone and finishing with 1,095 career points. A four-year starter, Perkins consistently proved himself as a leader and top performer, earning Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2026 along with multiple First Team All-Conference selections from 2024–2026. His list of accolades also includes First Team All-District recognition, OPSMA All-State honors, and MVP of the Cabell Midland Holiday Classic in 2024.

Off the court, Perkins has been just as impactful. He has dedicated time to serving his community through organizations such as Special Olympics, the Chesapeake Buddy League, and local youth programs, demonstrating the character and commitment that programs value just as much as athletic talent.

His combination of skill, leadership, and community involvement makes him a strong addition to the program at Kent State Tuscarawas, where he will look to make an immediate impact.

"We are thrilled to welcome Kaden to our program," said Richard Tharp, Men's Basketball Coach. "He brings a high level of competitiveness, strong fundamentals, and outstanding character. We're excited to see the impact he'll have both on and off the court."
