Golden Eagles MBB Gets Huge Win Over #2 Mami Hamilton

Kent State Tuscarawas earned a solid 72–67 victory over Miami-Hamilton on Tuesday night, using efficient shooting and balanced contributions across the lineup. The Golden Eagles took a 36–32 lead into halftime and mirrored that effort in the second half, scoring 36 points again to keep Miami-Hamilton at bay.

Garrett Sprutte turned in a standout performance, pouring in a game-high 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting while adding nine rebounds, six assists, and two blocks in 38 minutes. Ethan Bower provided a perimeter spark, hitting 4-of-10 from three-point range and finishing with 14 points and three assists. Blaine Raber was steady on both ends, scoring 12 points on 3-of-4 shooting, knocking down two three-pointers, and going a perfect 4-for-4 at the free-throw line. He also chipped in six assists, three steals, and a block.

Kent State Tuscarawas shot 45.1% from the field and 35.7% from beyond the arc (10-of-28), while converting 16-of-22 free throws. The Golden Eagles won the rebounding battle 26–21 and recorded 18 assists on 23 made field goals. Defensively, they forced 16 turnovers and collected eight steals and four blocks, helping seal the five-point win late.

Kent State Tuscarawas returns to action on the road on the 24th, traveling to Villa Maria for a USCAA matchup scheduled for a 2:00 PM tip-off.
