Golden Eagles Surrender Early Lead in 15–10 Loss to OVCC

Despite building a nine-run lead early, the KSUT Eagles fell 15–10 to OVCC on Saturday in a high-scoring contest.

The Eagles struck first in the bottom of the first inning, taking advantage of control issues and a defensive miscue. Monnard walked, Campbell was hit by a pitch, Walter and Maine each drew walks, and an OVCC error allowed four runs to score.

OVCC turned the game around in the top of the fifth inning, erupting for eight runs on six hits to take a 12–9 lead. The inning's biggest hit came when Sierra blasted a three-run home run to center field as part of the rally.

Quinby started on the mound for KSUT, allowing three hits and two runs over three innings while striking out three and walking three. Billman took the loss in relief, giving up six runs (five earned) on four hits over three innings, striking out two and walking three.
