KSUT Eagles had trouble keeping up with Carolina University Bruins in a 20-3 loss on Monday.

KSUT Eagles opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. KSUT Eagles first got on the board when Schofield singled, scoring one run.

 

Carolina University Bruins tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a fly out by Vespe, and a single by Brooks.

In the bottom of the second, Carolina University Bruins broke up the tie when Vespesingled, scoring two runs. Then a single by Hoyos followed to extend the lead to 6-3.

 

A single by Wesley, a walk by Vespe, and a wild pitch helped Carolina University Bruins extend their early lead in the third.

Ross earned the win for Carolina University Bruins. The hurler allowed three hits and three runs over four innings, striking out four and walking six. Billman took the loss for KSUT Eagles. The starting pitcher went two and two-thirds innings, surrendering nine runs (six earned) on seven hits, striking out two and walking one.

Patchett led KSUT Eagles with two runs batted in. The first baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Schofield, Maine, Salgado, and Patchett each collected one hit for KSUT Eagles. Ruhter stole two bases. KSUT Eagles ran wild on the base paths, piling up three stolen bases for the game. KSUT Eagles turned one double play in the game.
