KSUT Eagles Stymied By Carolina University Bruins

KSUT Eagles couldn't keep up with Carolina University Bruins and fell 12-1 on Monday.
 
Carolina University Bruins opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two wild pitches. Carolina University Bruins first got on the board when a wild pitch scored one run.
A single by Isbell, and a home run to center field by Gonzalez helped Carolina University Bruins extend their early lead in the second.
 
Brown hit a solo home run to center field in the bottom of the fifth for the Carolina University Bruins.
Kelley earned the win for Carolina University Bruins. The hurler allowed five hits and one run over five innings, striking out four and walking one. Castillo pitched three innings in relief for KSUT Eagles. The righty allowed five hits and two runs while, striking out three and walking none. Schofield took the loss for KSUT Eagles. The left-handed pitcher went two innings, giving up six runs on four hits, striking out three and walking four.
 
Salgado led KSUT Eagles with one run batted in.  Campbell and Patchett each collected two hits for KSUT Eagles.
Carolina University Bruins piled up 13 hits in the game. Gonzalez provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Carolina University Bruins with five runs batted in. The first baseman went 2-for-4 on the day. Isbell, Biggers, DeMaio, Horn, and Gonzalez each collected two hits for Carolina University Bruins. Carolina University Bruins were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Gonzalez had the most chances in the field with 10.
