Golden Eagles Baseball Sweeps Double Header
In Game 1:
Noah Schaller drove in five runs on one hit to lead KSUT Eagles past Great Bay CC Herons 13-9 on Saturday. Schaller hit a grand slam to right field in the fifth inning, scoring four runs, and walked in the sixth inning, scoring one.
 
KSUT Eagles collected eight hits and Great Bay CC Herons had nine in the high-scoring affair.
 
KSUT Eagles flipped the game on its head in the top of the fifth, scoring five runs on one hit to take the lead, 9-6. The biggest blow in the inning was a grand slam to right field by Schaller that drove in four.
 
KSUT Eagles added four more runs in the top of the sixth inning on three hits. Jeremy Patchett hit a solo home run to left field, Schaller drew a walk, scoring one run, Jaxon Monnard drew a walk, scoring one run, and Caleb Campbell singled, scoring one run.
 
Ayden Baker earned the win for KSUT Eagles. The hurler gave up five hits and three runs over four innings, striking out eight and walking five. Bryson Kent stepped on the hill first for KSUT Eagles. The righty allowed four hits and six runs (zero earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking four. Ethan Gamez opened the game for Great Bay CC Herons. The lefty gave up four hits and nine runs (eight earned) over four innings, striking out five and walking seven. Brenton Billman appeared in relief for KSUT Eagles.
 
Patchett and Campbell were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for KSUT Eagles while hitting back-to-back. Monnard led KSUT Eagles with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying 11 walks for the game.

KSUT Eagles easily dispatched Great Bay CC Herons on Saturday, 13-1.
 
KSUT Eagles got on the board in the top of the first inning after Alex Biars grounded out, Caleb Salgado doubled to center field, and Great Bay CC Herons committed an error, each scoring one run.
 
KSUT Eagles added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Caleb Campbell singled down the left field line, Jeremy Patchett singled to center field, Salgado walked, and Wyatt Bohannon walked, each scoring one run.
 
KSUT Eagles added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Jagger Ruhter singled to center field, Salgado walked, and KSUT Eagles scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run.
 
Jaxon Monnard earned the win for KSUT Eagles. The right-handed pitcher surrendered two hits and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking three. Pavel Miller led things off on the bump for Great Bay CC Herons. The pitcher gave up four hits and seven runs (five earned) over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking two.
 
Salgado drove the middle of the lineup, leading KSUT Eagles with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Patchett and Campbell each collected two hits for KSUT Eagles. KSUT Eagles had patience at the plate, accumulating nine walks for the game. Salgado and Biars led the team with two free passes each. Patchett and Campbell each stole multiple bases for KSUT Eagles. KSUT Eagles ran wild on the base paths, amassing six stolen bases for the Golden Eagles.
