Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a 2020 Carrollton High School senior to their baseball team. On May 20, 2020, Branyan Wade signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles.
Wade, primarily a pitcher/first baseman, was a two-year letter winner for the Warriors baseball team and played baseball for all four years of high school. He also played basketball for three years.
He is also a four-year member of the Carrollton Academic Hall of Fame and is a four-time recipient of Scholar Athlete honors. He was a member of French Club (three years), as well the Future Farmers of America.
He will major in criminology at KSU Tuscarawas.
"Branyan has a broad range of skills and is a great addition to our team ," said Josh Jarvis, Head Baseball Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. "He can play multiple positions, from outfield to first base and pitcher which makes him a valuable asset. He's smart and has great anticipation which comes from knowing nearly every playing spot on the field. I know he's going to step in and help where needed just as he has for Coach Connelly. "
Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
