Peyton Brown Joins Lady Eagles Softball

Peyton Brown is set to continue her academic and athletic career at Kent State University at Tuscarawas, bringing a strong combination of consistency at the plate, speed, and community involvement to the softball program.

A soon-to-be graduate of West Muskingum High School, Brown has maintained a 3.5 GPA while planning to pursue a degree in Dental Hygiene. She has also been active in FFA, volunteering her time to plant trees, maintain flower beds, and raise chickens for Christ's Table, showing her commitment to service and teamwork off the field.

On the diamond, Brown has developed into a standout hitter. She is currently batting .500 during her senior season, with a .585 on-base percentage, 17 hits, five doubles, two home runs, 10 RBIs, 17 runs scored, and four stolen bases. She also hit .381 for her travel team and made a name for herself earlier in her career by leading the MVL in stolen bases as a sophomore.

Throughout high school, Brown has earned multiple recognitions, including Most Improved Player as a freshman, Player of the Game honors in several seasons, and an academic patch for maintaining a GPA above 3.5.

Head Coach Larry Schall shared his excitement about Brown joining the program: "Peyton is the kind of player who makes everyone around her better. She competes hard, brings great energy, and has proven she can produce in big moments. We're excited to have her join our program and can't wait to see her continue to grow both on and off the field."
